NORTHERN Ireland secretary Brandon Lewis has said the UK has a "good chance" of securing a deal with the EU.
It comes as the bloc's chief negotiator extended post-Brexit talks in London for a further three days.
On Thursday, UK negotiators would then travel to Brussels for further talks, with UK and EU sources setting next Saturday as a deadline to reach a deal.
Mr Lewis also told the Andrew Marr show that the government will “protect and abide by the Good Friday agreement”.
It comes following threats from Democratic nominee Joe Biden that his administration could veto a US-UK trade deal if the peace agreement was threatened.
