Brian Austin Green thanks fans for their ‘extremely kind’ support amid Megan Fox backlash

Brian Austin Green has thanked fans for their support after he was called out by his estranged wife Megan Fox.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 actor shared a two-minute video to his Instagram with the caption: ‘Wednesday. Life at home while the kids are at school: :)’.

In the clip, the 48-year-old tended to his chickens while he told followers: ‘I wanted to thank everyone who’s come on my page and been supportive of everything. It’s extremely kind and really appreciated.’

His comment came after Megan commented on Brian’s photo of him and their four-year-old son Journey in Halloween costumes, saying that he was pushing the ‘absent mother’ image by posting a photo with their child.

Brian and Megan had split earlier this year after 16 years together and 10 of marriage, and Megan wrote on the snap: ‘Why does Journey have to be in this picture? It’s not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren’t in.

‘I had a great halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media. I know you love your kids. But I don’t know why you can’t stop using them to posture via Instagram.’

She continued: ‘You’re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year.

‘You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human!

‘Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?’

Brian later reposted the photo with Journey cropped out, but the pair’s celebrity pals have made their sides known following the exchange.

Earlier, Courtney Stodden – who had been linked to Brian following his split from Megan – spoke out in support of Megan.

While Brian’s ex Vanessa Marcil also appeared to show she was on the Transformers star’s side.
