Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl are in a relationship that’s basically made in 80s heaven.
The Dallas actor – best known for playing good brother Bobby Ewing – had fallen in love with the Happy Days actress after reconnecting during lockdown.
The smitten actor, 71, told People magazine: ‘I’m in an incredibly happy relationship.
‘I never thought for a minute this would happen again. I never thought I’d feel this way again.’
The actor was married for more than four decades to late ballet dancer Carlyn Rosser before she died of cancer in 2017.
He and his late wife shared sons Padraic, 46, and Conor, 40, while Patrick is the grandpa to four kids.
The widower had been used to the single life when the coronavirus pandemic brought Linda, 65, into his life.
Years before, the pair had been casual friends and they got the chance to reconnect when attended to a mutual group chat.
Patrick recalled: ‘I loaded up my car and drove 20 hours and ended up on her doorstep just to see if it was real. We haven’t been apart since.’
The actor continued: ‘I feel quite honestly, that it is keeping with the desires of my wife, the fact that we are intended to be happy. So when it’s offered, think about it, do whatever you do, but don’t let it pass you up if it’s the right thing.’
