A DOG was given a full funeral complete with a hearse procession and floral tribute.

Simba had been battling cancer for six months, and had chemotherapy before she died last week.

Owners Dharminder, 43, his wife Ramanpreet, 40, and three children were allowed to go in two at a time to say goodbye to the dog because of Covid regulations.

They had already spent more than £13,000 on Simba’s treatment.

Dad-of-three Dharminder, who runs an events business, said: “Simba was part of the family and we treated her like we would any human.”

“She was our first dog and she was wonderful, affectionate and just so well behaved. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog.”
