Police are investigating claims that Tory councillor racially abused a mother-of-two in a row over parking as she collected her daughter from a £33,000-a-year private school.
Councillor Stuart Tranter is accused of jumping in front of the woman's car and shouting abuse at her while she waited outside King's School in Rochester, Kent.
The mother claims she had pulled up in her BMW X7 at 3.15pm on Tuesday and was waiting to collect her six-year-old daughter when she was confronted by Cllr Tranter.
Police have since confirmed that officers are now investigating the incident which was reported as 'racially motivated'.

The mother-of-two, who is remaining anonymous, said: 'I still don't know why he [Cllr Tranter] did it. He jumped in front of my car.
'He was shouting a lot of abuse. I was parking in a legitimate space directly outside the school as I had to collect my daughter.
'When he jumped in front of my car, I pressed my horn down for ages so he moved.
'I was getting late to collect my six-year-old daughter, I got out and he said disgusting things to me.'
Cllr Tranter, who represents Rochester West on Medway Council, said the car was causing chaos because it was parked in the middle of the road.
He claims he was walking with his wife Sarah when he noticed the BMW in the middle of the street and told the driver 'you need to move on' as traffic was mounting up.

He said: 'At that time my priority was the safety and danger it was causing to children coming out of a busy school, pedestrians and the gridlock it was causing.
'It was chaos. I was deeply upset this person was causing so much danger.'
The councillor said he had no idea whether the driver was a man or a woman because of the tinted windows and only saw her when she got out of the BMW.
He added: 'I don't even swear. My objective as a councillor has always been the safety of the community.'
The couple returned to their home after the incident and Cllr Tranter reported the incident to police.
The woman also reported the incident to police and to Medway Council.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: 'Kent Police is investigating a report that a woman was the victim of a racially motivated incident on March 16, 2021 at around 3.15pm in Boley Hill, Rochester, where a man was alleged to have directed racial comments towards her.
'No arrests have yet been made and enquiries are ongoing.'
It is understood Medway Council has acknowledged the complaint.
A spokesperson said: 'It seems this is a matter for the police and the individuals involved and therefore we would not comment on this.'
